Invigorate Plastics
Invigorate Plastics is a new project, aimed at keeping waste plastics out of landfill by turning them into something new. By intercepting plastic waste at source and turning it into quality products, we can create employment in our community and build a truly sustainable local business for the Twenty-first Century.
As of September 2024, the project is in the feasibility study phase, researching new and existing recycling technologies, and auditing the waste plastics currently produced in the Settle area.
Settle Waste Audit
In 2024-25, we carried out an audit of businesses and organisations in Settle, to find out more about potential sources of plastic (and other) waste. This proved a very useful exercise and we may repeat it in the future, when we have a dedicated space available.
